Invite Your Audience

Who will your students engage with? How can you reach them?

Media Mentorship projects have been done for a variety of audiences: students' families, fellow students, senior citizens, and the community at large. There are other groups we think would make for impactful audiences too, like your school staff or school board, PTSA – the sky's the limit.​

Once you've selected your audience, how do you get them to your event? Think through how to best reach out to them. Here are some examples you can use or adapt:

Family audience: Send a letter or email home, put an announcement on the school website or social media.

Senior citizen audience: Create flyers, offer a phone number for registration or questions.

Local business audience: Reach out via email to find businesses who will display students' work.
